Walter's Breaking Point

High school chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston), and known as "Malcolm in the Middle's" dad is a hero in the show. He is a teacher who loves what he does and has a second job at a car wash to earn extra cash. He is a loyal husband to his pregnant wife, Skyler (Anna Gunn) and a caring father to his son. Not to mention, Walter JR. (RJ Mitte) has cerebral palsy. Throughout the season Walter is seen going through many obstacles and all the negativity seems to never stop. Walter is a good guy but because of the circumstance he's not making the brightest and safest decisions.
Walter loves his job, but he is not making enough money with the second job at the car wash which by the way he hates his job at the car wash. Mostly because he is treated poorly by customers and his boss is a big asshole. On the other hand, his wife, tries to make extra money by selling things on eBayIn the first season while they are having intimacy, she gets excited to get a notification from a customer who bought one of her products. Reason why they have so many side gigs is because they must keep the money going because there's another baby coming. Their relationship is adorable, and you can tell the age gap because of the energy difference.
The show isn't really trying to show what happens when humans are close to death and what we can go at desperate circumstance. Really, it's just a roller coaster ride with a free ticket to a more miserable end. For Example, he was diagnosed with inoperable, terminal cancer. Because of this he decides to make crystal meth in order to provide for his family financially. To clarify, "Breaking Bad" makes it clear that before getting diagnosed with cancer Walter never had smoked. Furthermore, he knows he can't do this alone. He can make beautiful meth but needs someone with connections in this industry. He contacts crystal meth dealer Jesse (Aaron Paul), who happens to be his former student. From there everything was all suspense, drama and a big mess. Two completely different characters end up bonding through illicit activities. Proves that opposites attract.
Walter decides to keep his cancer diagnosis a secret for the first three episodes. He then builds up the courage when they are at a family dinner. Everyone is taken by surprise and immediately want him to go through chemotherapy. that's the last thing he wants to do but eventually he gets pressured into doing it by his wife. Through the film Walter makes dumb decisions but for the most part I can't help but feel bad for the guy. He just has such bad luck with everything and for the most part doesn't have a say in most things he does. He never gets to decide, and it was like he never said anything. Throughout the film he's never been listened by anybody or even taken into consideration. Another example is his chemistry class, they prove that they don't really care for what he has to say. To say the least he is not respected.

Walter also takes pride in his work, even when it's illegal and doesn't call it "Art" like Jessie does but great chemistry. "You and I will not make garbage," Walter tells Jesse. "We will produce a chemically pure and stable product that performs as promised". Overall the film starts off slow and after the killing of the drug dealers everything goes to shit, and the movies pace moves rapidly. I will admit I was not very interested at first but after the third episode everything was all suspense. I recommend for a movie night with friends. Although I do want to say that if you watch with your parents, they might not be so happy you go to school in the Albuquerque area. Because let's be real, in this show the dark side of Albuquerque is portrayed. Nonetheless, it's still a great show and it deserves the fame it has.
